Following a long and respected career as a touring professional, David Jones moved into the world of golf course design in 1995 with the much-lauded Championship Course at Hilton Templepatrick in Northern Ireland. Since then, he has established himself as one of the most imaginative and forward-thinking golf course designers in Europe.
Good as he was as a player, nobody will be surprised if his legacy is as a golf course designer. His artistic discipline can only be learned... not taught, and he has already left an indelible footprint on some lovely courses.
